Another great educational children's book in the Hayden series that helps children recognize the importance of caring about nature up close. Hayden raises a caterpillar to help it become butterfly, in this story about metamorphosis. I read this book at the same time my kids were caring for several monarch caterpillars over summer, watching them grow and change into butterflies. They were both excited and sad to raise them successfully and set them free. The connection and valuable experience involved is so memorable and irreplaceable as a child and adult to be a part of.
